WiFi network security

Certainly should set up a WPA2 password for network. Worth it to also hide network? Or use MAC address exclusion? If I do use it, how do I find out MAC address of iPhone?
What’s the downside or danger of using MAC exclusion or hiding network.

If you have a good password on your wpa2 network, then there really is no reason to use either the hiding or MAC address exclusion.
You can find out the MAC address of an iPhone by looking in the Settings. I think it is in General, About.
The downside to using MAC exclusion is that it is harder to add a new device to your network. A friend comes over and wants to use your network and you have to find out their MAC address, go into your network's admin settings and add it.
