Will we still need Time Machine when we get iCloud?

Dear Gary,
Many thanks for the great tips and explanations you give. My question is will we still need to back up to Time Macine when we get iCloud?

Yes, absolutely. Time Machine provides a complete backup of the file son your hard drive. iCloud is not a backup solution. It will allow you to store contacts, events, music and some other data "in the cloud," but not your documents and other files, and it will not provide a backup or recovery solution for your Mac.
Even if there was a "Time Machine in the Cloud" solution, most people wouldn't be able to use it. Backing up 100s of GB over the Internet probably isn't feasible for people using standard broadband connections in the US.
