The new major update for iPad, known as iPadOS or iOS 13.1 for iPad is now available. This major release includes changes to the home screens, new features and switches Safari to a default-desktop browser instead of a mobile one. Version 13.1 is the first version of iPadOS, corresponding to iOS 13.1. iOS 13.0 was a short-lived iPhone-only release.
iOS 13.1 for the iPhone brings new features like Share ETA to share your arrival time with friends, home Automations in the Shortcuts app, optimized battery management, and more. tvOS 13 bring Apple Arcade to the Apple TV and other features.
You can get these updates through the Settings app on your devices, under Software Update.
I downloaded the 13.1 for both my iPhone XR and my iPad Air2. I like some of the upgrades very much especially the home screen interactive for the iPad. I can move from Notes to Safari to find information and retune to Notes with the information quickly. The new features on the iPhoneXR enhance the operation. I still are learning the new features which are many.
