Hi, I can't figure out how to update numbers to 11.2 from 11.1. I updated to MacOS Big Sur 11.6, but when I go to the App Store there no updates available.

Joseph: If you have Big Sur, you should be able to update. Did you try going directly to the Numbers app in the App Store and updating from there?

Gary, thanks for responding. I tried going to numbers for Mac on the App Store and it only gives me the option to Open which opens 11.1. I was hoping that it would automatically update overnight but no such luck. I do want to thank you for explaining pivot tables so well. I have used them in excel previously but hadn't found an in-depth instructional video such as yours, so their utility to me were limited.

I checked the App Store for probably the tenth time and it gave me a chance to update Numbers, and a couple of other Apple apps. All good now. Thanks!

When I create a database to be used with Pivot Tables I put Drop-Down" boxes in the columns with things like names and products. This eliminates mis-typing and makes the Pivot Table error free

Thanks Gary. Is there any way to insert a date into a field automatically?

    Bruce: No, not really.
