A new feature in High Sierra is the ability to quickly lock your Mac. The Lock Screen command is in the Apple menu at the bottom, just before the Log Out option. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Command+Control+Q.

How to unlock?
Bob: You unlock the same way you have always unlocked, by logging in to your account. This is the same as when you first wake up your Mac.
