Snap Window Columns Back To Default Width

You know how you can click and drag the dividers between columns and sidebars in Mail, Safari and the Finder? If you ever want to get back to the exact default column width, simply double-click the divider line.

    Is there a way to keep the changed space between dividers so that the finder window always opens with the change?

    Marj: That should happen automatically. But it depends on how you come back to the same location, such as opening a new window, digging down through folders, etc.
