Tim Cook Takes Over As Apple CEO

Steve Jobs, the driving force behind Apple at its start and also for the last decade, resigned as CEO yesterday. In a letter to Apple employees he said he could no longer meet his duties and expectations as CEO, but would like to remain as Chairman of the Board. He recommended COO Tim Cook as his successor, and the Apple board agreed.
Jobs has left the post of CEO several times before on temporary medical leave, each time putting Cook in charge. He has been running the day-to-day at Apple since January. Apple’s site already features Cook’s bio at http://www.apple.com/pr/bios/tim-cook.html.
In other news, Apple released many software updates this week. The first major update to Lion, OS X 10.7.1, came out over Software Update this week. New Lion downloads now feature this version as well. iTunes 10.4.1 was released with some bug fixes, as well as a Boot Camp update and a firmware update for iMacs to fix graphics bugs. Those can all be downloaded via Software Update.

One thing that was mentioned was the download for iTunes. I did get a download for iTunes and this download mentioned Lion, and going full screen for iTunes. I am little bit unsure about the download, because it said this is for Snow Leopard as well. I assume that i will be able to go full screen, but i have never noticed anything about iTunes. I have iTunes on when i am using Photoshop.
