How do I clean up (remove) Calendars on my iPhone?

Although I have had my iPhone for a little over 2 years now, I am new to Macs and just got my new iMac a couple months ago. I signed up for a MobileMe account and now trying to sync my iMac’s iCal calendar on my iPhone. After several failed attempts (newbie) I got it, but now duplicate entries and if I go to Settings on my iPhone and select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” then scroll down to Calendars and select “Default Calendar” I see
From My Mac
Home
Work
MobileMe
Calendar
Home
Home
Home
Home
Home
Home
Home
Work
I get repeat entries in my iPhone Calendar and I do not know how to clean all this up. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

Use iCal on the Mac to clean it up. That's where you have the most control. Delete the extra calendars. Syncing shouldn't be an issue since you are using MobileMe -- so it should then change to reflect iCal across everything.

Thanks for getting back to me Gary, I greatly appreciate your time and help. I do not think that I have the extra calendars in my iCal. The left pane in my iCal looks like:

    Calendars
    Home
    Work
    Calendar

    MobileMe
    Mail To Do

During all my failed attempts to get it to sync on my iPhone (again newbie), I think that my problem stems around the iPhone asking me something about "merging" or not and so I was just wondering if there was a way on my iPhone or perhaps online on my MobilMe account to delete those extra calendars??? Thanks and have a great day!

That's odd. Check your System Preferences, MobileMe. Make sure calendars are set to sync between iCal and MobileMe. If you are using MobileMe to sync calendars, then you should have the same calendars in iCal, your iPhone and online in MobileMe. You should be able to delete those calendars in the Web version of MobileMe as well.

I have had the duplicate calendar post issue as well. My wife has it even worse. There are some events that will show up 50 times (I'm not exaggerating). Any idea what could be causing this?

I most definitely have this problem and is very troubling for my calendar. I have an imac, mac book pro, ipad, and iphone and my business needs a lot of calendar use. I have many duplicates and some are 50x's as well as todd's. I purchase Calendar Cleaner in the app store for $5 and it was a total waste of time. It slowed my computer to a stall, took up a lot of my time and nothing got fixed. Any suggestions?

Hi all, I have the very same issue, iPhone shows calendars 'On My Mac' that do not exist and the worst bit is that you can not edit them on iPhone, so they are on there and I can not do anything about it. HELP

Simply sync with your Mac and iTunes. In iTunes you can change which calendars are synced to your iPhone. Turn that one off and it will go away when you sync again.
