This week, I feature “Ya Famous” by George Hrab. I talk about my Shocking Tanks from think geek. I also mention their ‘T-qualizer’ shirt with a real working equalizer, and the LED faucet attachment… which I’m so totally going to get. Next, I give my own WoW tip. And finally, I have special surprise unboxing footage of our new Apple TV and AirPort Extreme that we got yesterday. How about that for geek porn? Send questions, comments, and your WoW tips to GeekGirl(at)Clevermedia(dot)com

This week, once again I feature Possible Oscar’s “Talk Nerdy to Me” (possibleoscar.com). I talk about a new lego train that I just bought (but hasn’t arrived yet. And I interview geek girl lego lady Kristine Fuiks who tells me about bricklink.com This week’s WoW tip comes from David: don’t pull a Leeroy. BTW, I didn’t get any macro tips. Do you guys not use marcros? Send me pictures or stories of your Lego projects, or Lego vacations, to geekgirl (at) clevermedia (dot) com. 3/9/07

This week I feature Possible Oscar’s “Talk Nerdy to Me’, from the Podshow Podsafe Music Network. You can find the song, and Possible Oscar’s new Album “The Wrath of Con” (which includes the son) at their website possibleoscar.com I also interview my friend Steve Oatney, who is dressed like the dread pirate Roberts (doesn’t he have the most amazing hair?). He tells me about the work he did for the Lord of the Rings Masterpieces sketch cards, which is a collectable card set. We talk TV and superheros. Finally, I give my wow tip, which is to keep yourself informed by visiting sites such as thotbot.com worldofwar.net and the german sites wow.ingame.de and buffed.de (thanks Karl). Next week, send me your tips about Macros. Send all your tips, questions and comments, to geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com. See you next week!

This week Eve does a home science experiment to find out her blood type, using think geek’s DIY blood typing test kit. She’s also featuring Ric Seaberg’s “If I could be a geek” from music.podshow.com. If you like it, check him out at ricseaberg.com or itunes. Buy the song or any others, and help fund his caffeine fix. Next, Devin gives us our WoW tip on how to pwn those pesky blood elves. He also lends his opinion on his ultimate pvp class. What’s your opinion? Let me know, alone with your tips, questions or comments at geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com. See you next week!

This week, Layle and I play in the park, after devising a less than scientific study to compare two toy guns. The first, a Nerf dart shooter, the Maverick Rev-6, and the other is the black cyclone from Think Geek.

Jeff provides us with our WoW tip this week, as well as a picture of his Think Geek Space Invaders wall graphics. Thanks Jeff!

Lastly I touch base with you again about my favorite TV shows. Or rather, my favorite TV show, and one of my former favorites.

I’ve also been exploring the Podsafe Music Network, which was established to help artists promote their work on Podcasts. I really enjoy this song, “If I could be a geek” by Ric Seaburg. Obviously I found it because it’s about a geek, a girl and love. And although it’s not often that I appreciate a song for more than it’s lyrics (we’ve been through this, I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to music because I’ve invested all my talent points in other fields) I actually really like the instrumental portions. I don’t have the lexicon to properly describe how the different sounds blend together, but I am a foodie, so you will have to settle for an analogy: It’s like when I make a really elaborate roast, where the meat is allowed to roast for hours in broth, vegetables, and herbs. When the meat is removed, I then take the drippings and make a beautifully complex and hearty gravy. Are you following me? Probably not. But what I mean to say, in the only words I know how, is that in addition to the cute lyrics, the instrumental portions of the song blend harmoniously with a complex and hearty flavor that tastes to my ears almost like my homemade gravy is to my mouth.

If you like the song, I think you can purchase it in it’s entirety here: http://music.podshow.com/music/listeners/artistdetails.php?BandHash=c6fd3b87e7e5a8ffd8c0354f7b0e9a5d. And I think you should because I’m all for supporting artists. If you don’t like it, well- I told you I don’t know anything about music, ^_- this isn’t the ‘groove girl’ podcast!

In this episode, I ponder want it means to be a geek girl. I give a little World of Warcraft tip, which I I’m hoping will become a weekly thing. And I touch base with you about my favorite television shows, and ask you want you think. Please send your questions, comments, WOW tips, and thoughts on TV shows to geekgirl(at)clevermedia.com Also, in this episode I made a real effort to make a longer take before each cut, at the request of a viewer who found all my jump cuts annoying. Please let me know what you think, I’m not sure if it makes the show better, and seems to slow the pacing quite a bit.

2/7/07

This episode it’s all about World of Warcraft.? And it’s all about ‘talking’ to two of my favorite female podcasters out there.? There’s a video response to Lynne Gryphon of Lynne’s Sci Fi news and the Lipstick Alien’s Podcast, in which I rant about how the new Blood Elves are seemingly invincible.

Secondly, I post a video response to Molly Stanberry of the Women of Warcraft podcast, dealing with the sportsmanship of ganking on PVP servers.

As always, send me your questions and comments.? GeekGirl@Clevermedia.Com… I’m always listening…

After some housecleaning, I officially announce the contest winner. Karl!

I talk about the Burning Crusade expansion for Wow, that was released Tuesday. It’s awesome. More on that later. Do you have any input? I’d love to hear it. But what’s up with the Warlock changes? It said that I would no long bring in my pet from outside the battleground, but it would not cost me a soul shard to cast it in the battleground. At least that’s what I thought it said. I noticed no changes in the Battleground regarding soul shards and demon pets. I wasn’t paying strict attention to my soul shard usage, but I know that when I entered the BG I didn’t have a pet, I cast one inside, and then it was with me when I left- like it used to be.

Anyway, I have to tell you about this new video podcast called Women of Warcraft. But don’t let that pretty face fool you! She’s not one of those hot-girl, tech news fakers like on American G4 or many podcasts. You only have to watch her to see she’s the real-deal. She’s %100 authentic sexy gamer. And I thought I was smart and pretty. Maybe she’ll give me some lighting tips. Hopefully I’ll get to meet her in person, since she lives right here in Denver! What a coincidence. Two gamer girl video podcasters in the same city? And trust me, Denver is not World Podcaster Central.

And of course, I finish up by talking about my Game Cube as promised.

So sorry about the delay!!! You know, there was the holidays, and we’ve had some pretty extreme weather here in Colorado that caused me to miss some work.

Anyway, I put this together several weeks ago. Thank you all for your patience. We’ll get back to our regularly schedule ASAP.

BTW, Karl won the contest… this calendar is traveling all the way to Austria!

2/7/07

In this episode, you’re invited over to my house to play! Well, to hear me talk about the last gen game systems huddled around my entertainment system, anyway. I show you my XBox, and several of my games. If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail them to geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com.

In addition, you still have time (till the end of the year) to enter the calendar contest! Receive a 2007 Screen Goddess Calendar just by showing me what you’d look like as a superhero! Mail digital images in any medium to the usual address. Refer to episode 10 for more complete information. I show you Karl’s entry, it makes me giggle.

Also, another guest appearance from my extremely talented cat.

2/7/07

In this episode, I mention the tragedy of James Kim of Cnet, but I prefer not to completely cover it because I was not personally close to him like many podcasters. And out of respect for him I would prefer to link you towards a more direct source if you don’t know the story. http://news.com.com/2009-12-6141617.html?tag=cnetfd.ld1 In other news, we also experienced the loss of Lynne’s Sci Fi news. But the good news is that Lynne left us to pursue a new job (good luck Lynne) and you can still find Lynne at the Lipsitck aliens podcast. http://lipstickaliens.libsyn.com I cover two other news stories, including the phenomena that by some is called Geek Porn. It refers to the popularity of internet videos of people unboxing tech toys. You can find a repository of unboxing videos at unboxing.com. Also check out youTube if you’d like to repeatedly fantasize about that precise exiting moment in which you extract your virgin Wii from the sealed and pristine packaging. The other story was about Bournemouth, England, which has been declared by a recent survey to be the nerdiest town in the UK. It also describes the geographical distribution nerdy (and philatelic) trends across Britain. Links to those stories, respectively: http://www.thedailyreel.com/news-opinion/news/geek-porn-watching-inside-the-box?gnewsid=1165504799.76 http://www.thisisdorset.net/display.var.1061351.0.barefaced_geek.php And most importantly, I continue to pimp the Screen Goddesses 2007 calendar, which remember is for a good cause. You can purchase a calendar for yourself or a loved one at ITgoddess.info or enter my little contest! I’m giving away a proof (which is as beautiful as the real deal, but has a few type-os.) All you need to do is e-mail me a digital image of what you’d be if you were a superhero. Use photoshop, paint, a box of crayons, take a picture of a clay sculpture or collage! Or even dress up for real and send me a picture. I welcome submissions of any artistic ability. Have it in by the end of the year, and if you’re my favorite I will mail you my proof calendar. Please don’t abuse copyrighted material, because I don’t want to get in trouble for using it in my podcast. Send submissions to geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com — and also as always please feel free to send questions or comments to the same address, or if you were a superhero what your name and power would be!!!

2/7/07

In case once a week isn’t enough Geek Girl for you, I discuss the other podcasts at Clevermedia that I participate in, namely the Heroescast (heroescast.blogspot.com) and the Daily Vlog at (thedailyvlog.com) and the turducken debacle. View said debacle here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0bn82u7UAcg

I also tout the 2007 Screen Goddess Calender, which you can view and order from itgoddess.info

Finally, I request that you continue to send your comments and feedback to geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com. Once again, I ask if you were a superhero, what would your name and superpower be. I also ask, if they made a biography film about your life, who would you choose to star as you, and why? Who do you think would make a good Geek Girl?

2/7/07

This week Geek Girl is featured at the Clip Show (theclipshow.com)! Geek Girl reads some feedback. She also talks about her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. She also shows the promised interview with humorous collectibles seller Steve Hoz.

2/7/07

In this episode, Trevor accompanies on the Cowbell, and then later on the jingle bells to ring in the holiday buying season. I laugh at the Zune, and ignore the popularly covered PS3 release in lieu of some other cool tech gadgets. I find an excuse to wear a pirate hat, and refuse to take it off when it is no longer relavent. I thank viewers for sending feedback about an overheating PC, and decide to go with a liquid cooling system I am still researching. I welcome viewers to continue to offer their tips, thoughts and emotional support. Also, continue to send e-mails to geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com, and leave comments at geekgirl.tv. Tell me if you were a superhero, what would your name and superpower be? Also, give me positive or negative feedback so that I can make you a better show. 2/6/07

Mr. Cellophane, (a.k.a Karl) sends me a really cool theme song, and I make a new dance. If you’d like to sing me an original 20 second theme song, send it to geekgirl (at) clevermedia (dot) com. I really would appreciate it! I also beg viewers to give me advice on my PC overheating problem. Child’s Play begins the year’s toy drive at childsplaycharity.com. Game Politics dot com has a story about video game terminology. Finally, we meet a Flemmish fan and superhero.

2/6/07

In this episode Geek Girl goes to Majesticon and interviews Colorado’s revered Queen Geek, Dana Cain. She organizes conferences in the area, and you can check out upcoming events at danacain.com I challenge viewers to articulately discuss in the comments section of GeekGirl.TV when Star Trek jumped the shark, if ever. Please share your opinion. I also dress up my cat in an absurd pink tutu princess dress, in lieu of dressing up myself. I recommend the Ducky Horror Picture Show, a Galacticast (Galacticast.com) spoof of ze frank. I read Karl’s comment. And finally, as a special treat, I show one fanatical comic book seller’s answer to the super hero question. He was funny, so you’ll see more of his interview some other time. As always, send me an e-mail at geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com, and tell me if you were a superhero, what would your name and super power be? Or just tell me what you like, and don’t like about the show, so I can make it better. ^_- until next week!
