Club MacMost includes everyone that supports MacMost at Patreon at the $5 USD/month level or higher. If you are an active supporter, then in addition to supporting MacMost, there are some extra benefits. Here are some frequently asked questions about being a part of Club MacMost.
A: There are usually several posts per week for Club MacMost posted at Patreon. To see these, go to patreon.com/macmost and scroll down to the Latest Posts section. Note that you must be logged in to your Patreon account to see the posts. So if you see “Log in” at the top right, click that and log in with your Patreon ID and password.
A: This happens if you are not logged in. Maybe you are viewing the site in a different browser or app from before. Or maybe it is just time to log in again. Look for “Log in” at the top right, click that and log in with your Patreon ID and password. If you can’t remember your password, go to Patreon Login Help. Also see this troubleshooting video.
A: The most common reason for this is having two accounts. This can easily happen if you are not logged in, and instead of logging in again with your original email address and password, you create a second account instead. Or perhaps you hit the “Continue with Apple” or similar button which created a new account instead of logging in with your existing one. To fix this, log out and then log in again to Patreon making sure to log in with the same email address and password you used when you signed up to support MacMost. For more help, go to Patreon Support: I have two accounts. Also see this troubleshooting video.
A: Yes. Go to patreon.com/macmost and scroll down to the Latest Posts section. Look for the Search Posts box and type in your search phrase.
A: Yes. Use the search box at the top of the macmost.com site or go to macmost.com/search and you’ll get results from both places. For instance, if you search for “iMovie” you’ll get iMovie video tutorials posted publicly at MacMost.com and also exclusive tutorials at Patreon.com. But only video tutorials will be shown, not miscellaneous text posts, course coupons, and other kinds of posts from Club MacMost.
A: The courses.macmost.com site is a completely separate site from Patreon. So to get a discount on the courses, you need to use a coupon code. Each month I post a new coupon code to Patreon. Search the Patreon posts for it or use this link to see only coupons. Then use that coupon code when you check out at the courses site. Note that Club MacMost Plus members ($20 USD/month level or higher) get the courses for free. To use that benefit, you’ll need to message me (through Patreon is best) and let me know your courses site user ID (sign up for a free account) and the course you want to take. I then manually add that course to your account.
A: Yes and no. You can send me a message through Patreon. But I’d rather you used the form at macmost.com/ask instead. There are two reasons for this. First, the form asks for important information that will help me answer your question. Second, I can indicate on the form when I am not available to answer questions (weekend, holidays, vacation). I like to maintain a good work/life balance so I’d rather questions only come in when I am working, and not at other times.
A: Yes. In fact I have a special form just for Club MacMost members. Use macmost.com/suggest-a-topic and I will add your suggestion to a list. From time-to-time I’ll pick good suggestions and make a video for either Patreon or the main MacMost site, and thank you in the video.
A: Please try Patreon support if you can. I am user of Patreon like you are, just a “creator” instead of a “patron.” I don’t have access to their servers or backend systems. For most things, only actual Patreon support can help. Here are some handy links:
