Hi Gary,
I am thinking of developing a site (part-time) for a former employer and was wanting to use iWeb.
Do you have any history with using it and what is your opinion of it? What do you use for Macmost.com?
Thanks.
Jason

I do not like iWeb. I think it is a throw-back to the way web pages were made in the 1990s, using client-side software to design pages and then upload them to a site. Worse, it only really works well with MobileMe, not any other web host. Notice that I never do videos on how to use iWeb.
I would not recommend using iWeb for anything except a small personal site on MobileMe.
For MacMost I use a much more modern form of web site development -- the content management system. In this case, WordPress. There are also lots of others, like Moveable Type, Drupal, Joomla, etc.
This confirms what I thought. I just re-created an old website using iWeb. It definitely has limits, but I spent a LOT of time working on the new site.
I looked at WordPress on the web and was wondering how much work I'm looking at to rebuild my website again. Is there a way of converting iWeb pages to WordPress pages?
Thanks!
Not really. You just have to rebuild it.
