How Do I Send a Large Group Message?

I pastor a small church. I want to be able to quickly alert members of last minute schedule changes or cancellations due to inclement weather, that sort of thing. I don’t use Facebook. I’ve tried using the Messages app, but it limits me to 20 recipients. Is there a way to quickly and easily send one message out to a larger group of people simultaneously?

The reason it is hard to send out group messages is that if you can do it, so can everyone else. And guess who everyone else includes? Spammers.
So sending from your phone or through iMessage on a Mac to a large group is tough, if not impossible. It is supposed to be.
What you'll need to do is to find a messaging service that specializes in this. I don't use this sort of thing, so I have no recommendations. But start by searching for "group sms" or such. I see a lot comes up.
I'd be skeptical about the apps that appear. I don't see how they can deliver more than a handful of messages since I presume they have the same limitations as messaging from the build-in apps. But I'm not sure. There are several services that appear in the search results, though, so that is a place to start. I would also ask other pastors in your network and maybe the local school districts to see what they use.

I use SerialMailer. Made by FalkoAxmann. Works perfectly with my Apple Mac
