Are the Signatures In “Markup” Secure In Any Way?

I know how to use “Markup” in MacOS. What I don’t know and am asking about is: What kind of security exists for the signatures that the user can add to Markup? I searched on this question and, so far, have not found a single comment.

    I'm pretty sure that the image is encrypted and saved in your local user account on your Mac. So the only way to get to it is to log on to your account on your Mac.
