Can you change an Apple app icon?

I’d like to change the icon for iTunes, but i can’t do it the usual way (using get info). Is it not possible? or is their a trickier method needed?

The way to do it is to find the application, in this case iTunes in the Applications folder. Control+click it and select “Show Package Contents.” Then look in the Resources folder for iTunes.icns. You’ve got to replace that .icns file with something that you create. Creating that is another matter — you can download a variety of programs that do it. You can open it in Preview and you might be able to use copy and paste with some patience to change it. Maybe make a copy first.
