Delete a Playlist From iTunes?

I’m trying to delete old playlists from my Mac. I want to leave the songs in my library, but not the list. Thanks!

I'm not sure what you are asking. One way to delete a playlist is to Control+click it and select Delete From Library. Is that what you are looking for?

Or, are you asking that if you delete a playlist, will the songs also be deleted? No. Playlists are list lists of songs that you can gather together and arrange in a nice order. The songs are there in your library under the artist/album, etc.

Gary - I’m trying the first option from your answer. I want to leave all the songs there, but delete the list (too many playlists are annoying with Apple Car Play)! But when I try your solution, control - click doesn’t give me a delete option.

Terry; Where are clicking? The Playlist in the left sidebar of iTunes?
