I’m by no means a power graphics/video user on the Mac, but I do like to print color photos on a Canon inkjet printer, use Aperture, Photoshop Elements and other editing software for photos taken with a Nikon DSLR, and watch movies on a an Apple Cinema Display or a Panasonic HD TV via an HDMI connection. I strongly suspect I should be familiar with the Color Sync Utility. I guess this is more a plea for one of your 5-minute tutorials than a specific question. Maybe you can point out a good relevant online resource to learn about this. Also, do the color settings in the System Preferences/Display duplicate the Color Sync Utility’s settings? Thanks.

The reason I have never done a video on this is because it is well outside of my area of expertise. I don't do desktop publishing or print work of any kind, so I've never had the need for these.
Perhaps someone else can chime in?
Try this. http://www.computer-darkroom.com/colorsync-display/colorsync_1.htm
Thanks, Ed. That article looks to be helpful.
