My Mac crashed, I was however able to recover my data on a new Mac but the hostname has change. My iPhone still tries to wi fi sync to my old Mac. How can I change the host to which I need to sync on my phone?

Try syncing first with the Dock cable. Set it to sync to your new Mac by using iTunes. Then it should start to sync to that Mac using WiFi as well.
No dice, did that but when I enter wi fi sync on my Iphone it still looks for the old Macbook
Did you check the "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" setting in iTunes while it was connected? On the Summary page. Then maybe sync again after checking that.
I think you need to authorize the new Mac to the Apple-ids that where used to get content. Then you normally copy the old iTunes lib to the new Mac. Then syncing should be possible.
For some reason when I transfered itunes to my new laptop pc, it recognises the new pc for Apps, Music and Tones, but for Photos it is still seeing my Old Pc Username on my iphone 4. How can I change this as I can't sync my photos?
Connect your iOS device via cable and go to the Photos tab in iTunes to set it to sync how you want.
