How Do I Copy a Full-sized Raw File From Photos To a Mac Folder?

I want to copy a full-sized raw file from Photos to a Mac folder (downloads or pictures)?

I copied a raw photo into Photos to edit with an app. The photo is still in raw format (36 MB) but will only copy back to the Mac as a jpeg (3.6 MB) file. I want it in raw format to edit further in Lightroom.

Select the photo. Then choose File, Export, Export Unmodified Original.

However, if your goal is to edit it in Lightroom, you shouldn't need to export it. Just use Photos ability to edit in an external editor. Select the photo, choose Image, Edit With. Not sure how well that works with Lightroom, but it works great with the apps I use.

Thank you! I needed to export the photo (as a TIFF or other format) to retain the edit I had made in Photos. Very helpful!
