I have my phone paired to my iMac, but when I try to connect, it says I’m don’t have network access. How do I get my phone to connect with my iMac?

You can't "pair" your phone with your Mac. There is no "thing" that can be done by doing that. You pair a device with an accessory. For instance, a phone with headphones, a computer with a keyboard, etc. But you don't pair a device with a device.
So what is it you are trying to accomplish? Do you want to get access to the Internet on your iPhone through your Mac? Usually, you would simply connect both to the same Internet source (Wi-Fi router), not one to the other.
I wonder if he's trying to make and receive phone calls on his Mac through a connection to the phone. I do this.
Joel: Could be. If that is the case, it doesn't have to do with Bluetooth at all. See https://support.apple.com/kb/PH21870
