How Do I Get Rid Of Purgeable Files?

I have 57 gig of purgeable files and would like to delete them to free up some space.
What is the best and easiest way of doing this?

Thanks in advance,
freddymac. (I’ve had that name since my earthlink days in the late 80’s). LOL

Typically, those are iCloud Drive files that you have local copies of. They are there because you have the extra space, so macOS is keeping some of those files close-at-hand in case you need them. macOS handles this. If you are running low on disk space, it will keep fewer of these files around so it will use less.

This isn't something you mess with manually. Just let macOS handle these. If you like, consider "purgeable space" as empty space, if that makes you feel better about it. It is empty space that macOS is making good use of to potentially speed things up for you.
