Iphone Mail (Read and Unread !

If I read an email on my iphone (gmail set with Ms exchange), it still shows up as unread on the gmail website on the computer.
This happens sometimes and not always !
Any tips ?

I'm not sure what you mean by "Gmail set with MS Exchange" -- is your email account Gmail? Or is it Exchange?
If it is Gmail, then are you accessing it as a Gmail account on your iPhone? (when you set it up as a Mail account, did you choose Gmail as the account type instead of POP or something else?)

Well I Set up my Gmail Email account not with the GMail setting on the iPhone, but with the Microsoft Exchange Setting on the Iphone, so the Push of emails happens instantly rather than the Fetching.

Ah, I see. That is probably the problem. If you set it up as a "gmail" account it should work better. You can also set it up as an IMAP account -- which might be the best way.

I've never encountered this situation, but I too am confused about the "gmail set with Ms exchange". There wouldn't be any reason to do such in the first place, would there?

Emails only get pushed in residing if I set it up as Microsoft exchange. If I use the Gmail option, I have to Fetch the email every 15 minutes and not earlier. So if I receive an email, I won't get it instantly unless it's configured as Microsoft exchange ! So in effect, Push mail only works with Microsoft exchange where as with the rest it is Fetch !

Looks like you might have to choose between Fetch and this odd behavior you get by using Gmail as an Exchange account.
Of course you could be missing some setting in either the Mail prefs on your iPhone or the preferences for Gmail that will fix this. I would look at all the settings on both ends. I've never set up an Exchange account before and never tried to use Gmail as an Exchange account, so I can't tell.
