Time Machine icon for the drive inside Time Capsule

I am running the most current version of Lion. I also have a 2TB Time Capsule installed and it is running just fine. However, I am not able to display the icon for the Time Machine drive on the desktop or in the Finder. I checked to see if it was shown in the Finder Preferences, but it was not there to be “checked.”
Hmm, I wonder if this could be one of those 200 new “features” that Lion brought.

I observe the same thing. But I'll add some data: I don't see my Time Machine drive on the desktop and it is an INTERNAL drive. In fact I have four drives inside my Mac, and when I set the Finder to display hard drives on the desktop I only see the one main drive. I don't see my other three, one of which is a Time Machine drive.
So it would see that there is a bug in Lion. But those drives do appear in the left sidebar in the Finder windows. So I can still get to them. I usually have the desktop set NOT to show drives, so it doesn't really affect me.
If this were just a Time Machine drive issue, I would agree that it is a good idea. I get lots of questions from people who have messed up their Time Machine backups because they have noticed the drive there and have gone into it and stored other items or plucked files from it. So "hiding" a Time Machine drive is a good thing. But I don't know why other drives would be hidden.
