Trojans, botnets, etc.

Hey Gary, I was wondering. I feel that I use my mac pretty safely. I don’t go to suspicious sites, I buy legal copies of my software, and I try never to click links in my mail. But is this enough? How safe are macs? Should I get the little program like Little Snitch? I don’t expect my Mac to ever be compromised in the near future with a “virus” but how do I know if my Mac is being used as a “zombie computer”? Any thoughts?

    Check out episode 357: http://macmost.com/do-macs-need-antivirus.html
As for how you would know: If there was a virus or trojan that turned your Mac into a "zombie" the tech press would be all over it. So just stay informed. Keep your Mac updated.
