What is the oldest iPhone model that will be able to run on iOS 18?
I have an iPhone 12SE running iOS 17.5.1. I’m afraid that at some point I will not be able to upgrade the iOS, and will have to get a new phone.

Apple always publishes this on their site. For the iOS 18 update, look at https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-18-preview/. There is a section there titled "iOS 18 is compatible with these devices" near the bottom.
But also read through the features on the page and look for footnotes to see if a feature may only be supported on certain models.
For instance, footnote 12 for voice transcription notes that it is "Available on iPhone 12 and later..." and lists the languages after that.
