The touchscreen response of my iPhone 3GS has slowed since updating it with the iOS 5.0.1. Even switching from one App to another takes longer. Have other owners of the 3GS experienced this after updating with the iOS 5.0.1?

I have an old 3GS that I use for testing. In limited use of it with iOS 5.0.1 I haven't noticed any slow-down. Perhaps you are close to full on the storage space?
I still have 10.6 Gb left available so storage space is not the problem.
My 3GGS has slowed down also. Very sluggish.
Maybe a visit to the Genius Bar will help. Many people are reporting the same or even better speed on their older iPhones with iOS 5. It might help to have someone take a look.
Or, if you like, you can do a backup and restore of the iPhone yourself to see if that helps.
