That doesn't work for me, strangely it just opens Firefox and tries the url 'ftp://domainname.co.uk' which then says it cannot connect - how come it opens firefox?
Right. You need a different program to do that. See episode 228 for an example.

What a Crock, It obviously did not work for the woman in the video either!
I tried it and it kept re-logging into our ftp and repeatedly requested a directory listing. When I tried to stop it, it just hung there forever.
MAC's don't crash, they just hang indefinitely.

this doesn't work because when you drag a file i get a red x. or safari tries to open it or display it. how do you ftp using safari? i don't want to look at the files i want to upload. thanks, /T

You probably have Firefox set as the application to handle FTP. I think Firefox might do that with a standard install.

You can't upload this way, only download. See episode 228 (http://macmost.com/ftp-with-cyberduck.html) for an example of a program you can use to upload.
