iCloud Security Strengthened After Flaw Exposed

Apple news this week was dominated by a Wired reporter’s story of how his iCloud, Amazon, Twitter and Gmail account were all compromised because of the way he had the four tied together. Key to this situation were the fact that Amazon shows the last four digits of your credit card, and Apple allowed those digits to be used for over-the-phone account recovery. Both of those holes have now been plugged by those companies.
The compromise highlighted other issues, such as the importance of backing up your Mac. Look for a MacMost video tomorrow on how to avoid problems like this by using several simple security measures.

I am a member of that site Gizmodo.com,and he was one of the staff, and he used his own codeword from the site, has far has i know.
They told all the member`s to be patient while they tried to figure it out.
They new how the hacker got in, but they held back on the information to give Apple a chance to explain it. You are quite right that all of his accounts were connected, but it was Apple`s fault by letting the hacker in. My own opinion was also it was partly his fault for having all his account`s linked together on line. The site was buzzing after this was exposed on the blogs.
