Though one advantage of say Dropbox Gary is that you have the option to store the file/folder offline or online only ?. If you have "offline" then you can delete locally but still remains in Dropbox cloud - have I got that correct ?
Geoff: Yes, I think Dropbox has that feature. Also remember you can use more than one cloud service. So if you want that you can get a Dropbox account for just that for some files. I guess I do that somewhat with Google Drive by simply not using any Google Drive "app" and only uploading via the web site.
