If you use Safari’s Bookmarks Bar you may not realize that you are also setting up keyboard shortcuts. The first nine bookmarks in the bar, not including bookmark folders, are mapped to Command+1 to Command+9. This makes it even easier to get to your favorite sites.

First time I've had a problem understanding one of your excellent tips--but what does "first nine bookmarks...mapped to Command+9 mean? What are you supposed to do, and what functions do the keyboard strokes perform?
Just try it. If your Bookmarks bar has three bookmarks in it: Apple.com, MacMost.com and Google.com then pressing Command+1 will take you to Apple.com. Pressing Command+2 will take you to MacMost.com, etc.
Thanks-couldn't be easier.
