Test Out Our New iPhone Ringtones

We’ve just completed a new section of MacMost: free iPhone ringtones. We’ve got a dozen categories with several ringtones in each. They are all in .m4r format, and can be easily downloaded and added to your iPhone. We’ve also got a special feature where you can subscribe to each category as a podcast. This will allow you to easily download the ringtones into iTunes, and they should transfer automatically to your iPhone if you have iTunes set to put all ringtones on your iPhone.
So give our new iPhone ringtones section a try and leave feedback here.
Thanks!

There haven't been many iPhone-only ringtone sites--good idea! I found another one at http://ringtonemyiphone.blogspot.com and like the ones I just found at Macmost, those aren't commercial either so the RIAA won't get all bent out of shape!

    Thanks for the new tones!

I downloaded your ringtones, put them in the library and they showed up in my ringtones. Very cool! The bad news though is that they won't transfer into my iPhone. I have set iTunes to put all ringtones into my phone. Can someone help me?

    Thanks!

myctro: Not sure what the problem could be. Make sure your iPhone and iTunes are up-to-date with the latest patches. Then double-check your settings to make sure the ringtones are set to transfer when you sync.

I too downloaded your ringtones and they show up in the iTunes library but do not load to my iPhone. My iPhone and iTunes software are up to date and I can load ringtones I make in Garage Band. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I could see the ringtones in the iPhone>ringtones section of iTunes, but they WOULD NOT sync. The ONLY way I could get these to sync was the following:
    1. copy all ringtones to an empty folder on my desktop
    2. delete all MacMost ringtones from iTunes
    3. use "NameMangler" to change all the file extensions from .m4r to .m4a
    4. drag all files to "Meta X"
    5. in the video tab change "video kind" to ringtone.
    6. in the advanced tab turn the podcast flag to "No" (the setting with the purple man icon)
    7. apple the changes with the "Write and Share" button and quit Meta X
    8. Drag all ringtones with the .m4a extension to NameMangler again
    9. set extension back to .m4r
    10. Drag all ringtones back to iTunes.

Now they will show up in the "Ringtones" section instead of Podcasts

I know this is not how you intended this to work, but maybe this will give you a clue as to what is going wrong.

even easier than that you might find that if you a) add the ringtones to itunes and b) sync the macmost ringtone podcast to the iphone the tunes will show up on the phone...

Thanks ! your method works perfectly !

Darren's method worked even more perfectly, as it was easier. ;)

Since when I googled this problem I came here, I suggest making the instructions Darren gave more prominent.

    Great ringtones!

    had the same problem.

I hated itunes for some time. But by a glitch i found the solution. drag the files strait to the iphone in itunes, not to the library and then to the iphone.

Strange i know but it worked for me...
