What’s Next For Apple in 2011?

What’s next for Apple? With the iPad 2 selling furiously worldwide, the rumor mill tries to forecast what is in store for the rest of the year.
Many observers note that it is time for an iMac update. Some rumors point to early May with new processors and the Thunderbolt port to match the MacBook Pro.
Rumors of a new iPhone vary between a normal late June release or a delayed release in the fall that may include 4G capability. Apple will most likely update iOS to version 5 at the same time. Some say this will include deeper voice command integration.
We’ve been expecting a major update to the Final Cut Pro video editing suite, and some are now saying it will be announced later this month. In addition, the next iPod Nano may get a camera like the previous version.
There are also continued rumors that Apple will be adding a cloud service to their product line. It may simply be a way to store your iTunes music online rather than on your hard drive.

I've heard rumors that a new iMac is going to be released at the end of April/early May. According to the rumors it seems that the changes will be all "under the hood" with no cosmetic changes expected.

That said, knowing the lifecycles' of Apple products, can anyone guess when a completely new iMac can be expected?

Does anyone know of any rumors about a revised iMac. I hear that one is due out at the end of April/early May, but I'm wondering if there will be any cosmetic changes.

Speaking of which, when would an all-new iMac be expected (cosmetics and all) be expected?

No one knows anything for sure. It is all just speculation.

I think in the rest of 2011 we can look forward to the rest of the Macs being updated with Thunderbolt (mini, Air and Pro).
I do not think Apple will get into the SLR or video camera business. Already a huge percentage of digital photos and video are taken with Apple products: the iPhone (mostly), iPod Touch and iPad. They will just continue to improve the cameras in those devices. Maybe put a camera back in the iPod nano.

Anything more before the end of 2011 for an iMac refresh?

I doubt it. The last update was in May of this year. Would be unlikely that they would refresh in a shorter time period than a year. 7 months is highly unlikely.
