When viewing files in the Finder you can quickly move up to the enclosing folder by pressing Command+Up. This will keep the same view type and window location. But holding down Option in addition to Command+Up will use the enclosing folder’s previous view type and window location.

My WD external HDD of 1TB was plugged in and I was copying some files. In between I had to leave so I tried to close the Finder window but it stayed open, though the copying stopped. I waited a while then pulled it out from the USB port without ejection (by mistake).

I am not sure when but through the course of several iTunes upgrades the ability to backup your library to disc has been removed. Is there still away to do this? It was very handy to “back up files since last backup so you were not duplicating items on backup ... (4 Comments)

When your hard drive is full it is time to look through your files and determine what you should archive or just delete. Old video files and applications you are no longer using are common culprits. A drive that is almost full can slow down your Mac.

My wife and I both have a camera, when i download where we have similar pictures i like to move them together but unable to move them in iphoto can be done in xp . am i not doing somthing rite

Editing a project and iMovie 09 is suddenly going wacky. Can’t click on clips, etc. Project Library won’t come up. Tried shutting down, restarting, etc. Any answers? Some some threads; others have apparently had similar problems.Thanks!

Is it possible for two separate users to share iTunes and iPhoto accounts? My wife and I share one account at present but I would like to have two separate user accounts but we both need access to our music and photos.

Gary, I just gifted my old iPhone 3G to my daughter. Will she be able to download iOS 4 to the device? However, I assume that iOS 5 will not be an option? Finally, will she be able to get a Verizon SIM card to replace the AT&T card that is onboard?

When i create a no themed video and i go to add transitions, most times the transitions will not work. i usually have music, PiP and a title in the video…is it just using too much on one to also handle a transition?
