This week, I demonstrate one of my many superpowers, super-fast-talking. And I show you some interesting youTube videos I found this week, and do my impression of the sunglasses trick. I recommend Megan’s new audio podcast, Geek Gumbo. I share WolfmoonCT’s WoW tip. I can’t wait to go see Pirates of the Caribbean! And I am so excited about Transformers! Woot! In this episode I get a *very* 1337 new theme song, compliments of ‘The Daze’, which you can visit at myspace.com/thedazegirls I talk about superheroes, and start a new super crime fighting team that I’ll hope you’d like to join called the 13370RZ. Now accepting applications. You must be 1337, as in more leet than the general populace, but also be a leader. You must agree to use you powers for good instead of evil, and not be a jerk. Lastly, I briefly revisit the Mac/ PC topic. I’m to ticked off at Microsoft for birthing Vista into the world, and I’m taking a stand: This is one Geek that’s not going to take their crap anymore, at least until they significantly clean up their act– which I don’t see happening anytime soon. BTW, I just have to thank Layle for introducing me to the Almond Snickers. I will never go back to peanuts again. In fact, I think she’s ruined me for all other candy bars.

This week I give an introductory lesson about the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) by reading exceps from the Open Letter to the Kansas School Board on Venganza.org. Logga00 says I have bad hair. My friend Darkmole has a collection of WoW Machinima you should check out. I mention my feelings on Stargate, and show the hottest picture of Amanda Tapping that ever was. Wow! Stick around after the credits and watch everyone’s super villain power. As usual, send your questions, comments and super powers to GeekGirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com.

This week Netrender asks me to talk a little bit about more traditional gaming, table top and pencil gaming. I briefly describe my experience with Warhammer 40k, D&D, and Magic. Long live THAC0. For the first time, I miss placed a comment. Sorry! But you know who you are, you asked me to enter the Mac and PC debate. I try. I didn’t have time to mention clocking speeds. Macs have scored impressively from what I’ve heard. If you’re into Macs, or thinking about making the switch check out MacMost.com I recently did a great spoof for MacMost, you should really check it out. And don’t forget my April Challenge! If you were a Super Villain, what would your name, power and target be? Extra credit for video submissions. Be the first!!! (send to geekgirl [at] clevermedia [dot] com).

In April, we have some Birthdays. When’s yours? If you let me know, I’ll send you birthday wishes on the appropriate date. This week, I feature “Ya Famous” by George Hrab. I talk about my Shocking Tanks from think geek. I also mention their ‘T-qualizer’ shirt with a real working equalizer, and the LED faucet attachment… which I’m so totally going to get. Next, I give my own WoW tip. And finally, I have special surprise unboxing footage of our new Apple TV and AirPort Extreme that we got yesterday. How about that for geek porn? Send questions, comments, and your WoW tips to GeekGirl(at)Clevermedia(dot)com

This week, once again I feature Possible Oscar’s “Talk Nerdy to Me” (possibleoscar.com). I talk about a new lego train that I just bought (but hasn’t arrived yet. And I interview geek girl lego lady Kristine Fuiks who tells me about bricklink.com This week’s WoW tip comes from David: don’t pull a Leeroy. BTW, I didn’t get any macro tips. Do you guys not use marcros? Send me pictures or stories of your Lego projects, or Lego vacations, to geekgirl (at) clevermedia (dot) com. And as always, send me your questions, comments and WoW tips… and if you were a super hero, what would your name and superpower be?
This week I feature Possible Oscar’s “Talk Nerdy to Me’, from the Podshow Podsafe Music Network. You can find the song, and Possible Oscar’s new Album “The Wrath of Con” (which includes the son) at their website possibleoscar.com I also interview my friend Steve Oatney, who is dressed like the dread pirate Roberts (doesn’t he have the most amazing hair?). He tells me about the work he did for the Lord of the Rings Masterpieces sketch cards, which is a collectable card set. We talk TV and superheros. Finally, I give my wow tip, which is to keep yourself informed by visiting sites such as thotbot.com worldofwar.net and the german sites wow.ingame.de and buffed.de (thanks Karl). This week, Layle and I play in the park, after devising a less than scientific study to compare two toy guns. The first, a Nerf dart shooter, the Maverick Rev-6, and the other is the black cyclone from Think Geek.
Jeff provides us with our WoW tip this week, as well as a picture of his Think Geek Space Invaders wall graphics. Thanks Jeff!
Lastly I touch base with you again about my favorite TV shows. Or rather, my favorite TV show, and one of my former favorites.
I’ve also been exploring the Podsafe Music Network, which was established to help artists promote their work on Podcasts. I really enjoy this song, “If I could be a geek” by Ric Seaburg. Obviously I found it because it’s about a geek, a girl and love. And although it’s not often that I appreciate a song for more than it’s lyrics (we’ve been through this, I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to music because I’ve invested all my talent points in other fields) I actually really like the instrumental portions. I don’t have the lexicon to properly describe how the different sounds blend together, but I am a foodie, so you will have to settle for an analogy: It’s like when I make a really elaborate roast, where the meat is allowed to roast for hours in broth, vegetables, and herbs. When the meat is removed, I then take the drippings and make a beautifully complex and hearty gravy. Are you following me? Probably not. But what I mean to say, in the only words I know how, is that in addition to the cute lyrics, the instrumental portions of the song blend harmoniously with a complex and hearty flavor that tastes to my ears almost like my homemade gravy is to my mouth.
If you like the song, I think you can purchase it in it’s entirety here: http://music.podshow.com/music/listeners/artistdetails.php?BandHash=c6fd3b87e7e5a8ffd8c0354f7b0e9a5d. And I think you should because I’m all for supporting artists. If you don’t like it, well- I told you I don’t know anything about music, ^_- this isn’t the ‘groove girl’ podcast!
Last week, Geek Girl got to intro Ze Frank’s the show! Woot! I discuss schwag vs. personal peripherals. I give an in depth review of ThinkGeek’s snowbot. Finally, I give a wow tip from Karl. I’m Geek Girl, from GeekGirl.TV, the girl who owns more video game systems than pairs of shoes, the girl for whom the wind blows and the angels sing, the girl who could touch type before her fingers were big enough to stretch across home row, the girl who can boil ramen on her CPU– no seriously, it’s a real problem. Join me, each week for speak geek: Gadgets, Gaming, Computers, Comics, TV, Toys, or maybe I’ll through in an interview– anything to make your inner geek feel at home. New episode’s each friday. In this episode, I ponder want it means to be a geek girl. I give a little World of Warcraft tip, which I I’m hoping will become a weekly thing. And I touch base with you about my favorite television shows, and ask you want you think. Please send your questions, comments, WOW tips, and thoughts on TV shows to geekgirl(at)clevermedia.com Also, in this episode I made a real effort to make a longer take before each cut, at the request of a viewer who found all my jump cuts annoying. Please let me know what you think, I’m not sure if it makes the show better, and seems to slow the pacing quite a bit.

This episode it’s all about World of Warcraft.? And it’s all about ‘talking’ to two of my favorite female podcasters out there.? There’s a video response to Lynne Gryphon of Lynne’s Sci Fi news and the Lipstick Alien’s Podcast, in which I rant about how the new Blood Elves are seemingly invincible.
Secondly, I post a video response to Molly Stanberry of the Women of Warcraft podcast, dealing with the sportsmanship of ganking on PVP servers.
As always, send me your questions and comments.? GeekGirl@Clevermedia.Com… I’m always listening…

After some housecleaning, I officially announce the contest winner. Karl!
I talk about the Burning Crusade expansion for Wow, that was released Tuesday. It’s awesome. More on that later. Do you have any input? I’d love to hear it. But what’s up with the Warlock changes? It said that I would no long bring in my pet from outside the battleground, but it would not cost me a soul shard to cast it in the battleground. At least that’s what I thought it said. I noticed no changes in the Battleground regarding soul shards and demon pets. I wasn’t paying strict attention to my soul shard usage, but I know that when I entered the BG I didn’t have a pet, I cast one inside, and then it was with me when I left- like it used to be.
Anyway, I have to tell you about this new video podcast called Women of Warcraft. But don’t let that pretty face fool you! She’s not one of those hot-girl, tech news fakers like on American G4 or many podcasts. You only have to watch her to see she’s the real-deal. She’s %100 authentic sexy gamer. And I thought I was smart and pretty. Maybe she’ll give me some lighting tips. Hopefully I’ll get to meet her in person, since she lives right here in Denver! What a coincidence. Two gamer girl video podcasters in the same city? And trust me, Denver is not World Podcaster Central.
And of course, I finish up by talking about my Game Cube as promised.
So sorry about the delay!!! You know, there was the holidays, and we’ve had some pretty extreme weather here in Colorado that caused me to miss some work.
Anyway, I put this together several weeks ago. Thank you all for your patience. We’ll get back to our regularly schedule ASAP.
BTW, Karl won the contest… this calendar is traveling all the way to Austria!
In this episode, you’re invited over to my house to play! Well, to hear me talk about the last gen game systems huddled around my entertainment system, anyway. I show you my XBox, and several of my games. If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail them to geekgirl(at)clevermedia(dot)com.
In addition, you still have time (till the end of the year) to enter the calendar contest! Receive a 2007 Screen Goddess Calendar just by showing me what you’d look like as a superhero! Mail digital images in any medium to the usual address. Refer to episode 10 for more complete information. I show you Karl’s entry, it makes me giggle.
Also, another guest appearance from my extremely talented cat.
