How Do I Save a Copy Of a Sent Email In a Specific Folder?

Is there a way to automatically have a copy of an email sent to a specific addressee saved to a specific folder rather than to the Sent Folder.

For example – If I send an email to a group in my Contacts, I want a copy of the email put into a folder specifically for that group.

Thanks for the help.

Are you using Mail on your Mac? If so, you can create a rule for that. In Mail, Preferences, Rules, you can set it to do exactly what you want. Just have a look. But this doesn't help you when you need to send email from another device.

In that case, you may want to BCC yourself for each of these messages and set up a server-side rule to put these into a special folder. I don't know what email service you are using, and what its capabilities are, so it is hard for me to suggest something specific.

If you just want to be able to view these messages easily, there is no need to have them saved anywhere special. You can easily search the Sent folder for these. If you are using Mail on your Mac you can also create a Smart Mailbox to show all mail sent TO someone and FROM you, then you can just look in that Smart Mailbox to find what you need.
