I am one of your YouTube subscribers. Question is with regards to your latest macOS Mojave video.
I am using macOS Mojave, version 10.14 on my MacBook Pro (Retina Mid 2012).
But the continuity feature does not work between my MacBook and iPhone. E.g. If I open any of the apps like Finder or Notes, the “Take Photo” & “Scan Documents” feature is not highlighted for use, in spite of using the same apple id on both my MacBook and iPhone. The “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices” is also checked. I am also using the same wifi network on both the MacBook and iPhone.
The photos feature is highlighted though and I can pick photos from my library. (Exact situation as featured in your video, though you mention that your iPhone or iPad was not connected to your Mac).

Are you using iOS 12 on your iPhone? That's my first thought.
My other thought is that maybe 2012 is too old -- the Bluetooth or WiFi in that MacBook may not support it. Apple has a list here, and 2012 MacBook seems to be OK. Maybe try restarting both devices?
Gary, thank you for the quick revert. Have tried both & the problem persists. Is it possible that Mojave must not have downloaded properly, due WiFi re-springing in between the download?
I have reinstalled Mojave, yet the problem persists. And yes, iPhone and iPad are on iOS 12. Any ideas please?
Adiyeri: Does AirDrop work for you? I'd imagine it uses the same method to transfer the data. But I'm out of ideas.
Hi Gary! Gm! Problem resolved. Both wifi & bluetooth needs to be switched on, on both devices & both devices needs to be in close proximity for continuity camera to work on Mac. My bluetooth was switched off. Stupid of me!! I read through the Apple support page again & discovered my issue. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209037

I must add that, a few seconds delay in clicking pictures on the iPhone gives a "timed out” prompt on the Mac.
Adiyeri: Ah, yes, Bluetooth needs to be on for most (all?) continuity functions.
Hi Gary! If you don‘t have Two-Factor-Authentification activated then Continuity Camera won’t work. Is there a way around this, and do you know why Apple is „forcing“ us to use TFA? Thanks! Ian.
Ian: I don't know for sure in this case. But what is the hesitation to using two-factor? Especially considering the massive problem Facebook just revealed yesterday, I wouldn't go without two-factor any more than I would go without a backup.
