I made an Idvd Project with 5 Videos and 4 slideshows…
I burnt one copy of the DVD and then Saved the Project.
It took 1 hour 10 minutes for the first DVD including the burning time.
THe second one too started Rendering again with the menus and slideshow Processes and that too took 1 hour 9 minutes or so.
Does it mean that saving a project does not save the the rendering time ?
In effect this way every copy will take me over an hour to burn. the total content is 3.9 GB

In my experience it only has to render the video once, the first time. The second DVD burn takes much less time. As long as you don't make any changes. Not sure why it did the rendering again for you.
Another option is to use File, Save as Disk Image in iDVD. This creates a .img file that you can then burn as many times as you want to a DVD using Disk Utility.
Thanks Gary but can you explain a little about how to do the Disk Image thing in this case for the iDVD project to avoid the repeated rendering for more Dvd Copies ?
Thanks !
Cyrus !
Use File, Save as Disk Image in iDVD. This will give you a .img file when it is done. Then run Disk Utility. Go to Images, Burn and select the image file to burn to a DVD.
wowow cool thank you Gary !
