Bad and good? Not sure how to answer that. It sounds like you have questions and concerns -- what are they?
I would like to know by having Windows7 installed on my imac will it have any effect in performance?
Having it "installed" is just like having a very large file on your drive. Basically, no, unless you are running out of disk space. If it is installed only for Boot Camp, then you can only run Windows or Mac OS X, not both at the same time. So, again, no. But if you use Parallels or VMWare to run Windows while running Mac OS X at the same time, then yes. They will compete for processor and memory while they are both running. But only while Windows is running, not normally.
Thanks Gary for the info. I feel better now. I just never used bootcamp before with Windows software.
