How Do I Delete the Notification for Washington Examiner?

I keep getting flash notifications from the Washington Examiner. There is no such item in my system preferences list. They do show on my desktop notifications list but only the ones that are several days old. I don’t want them and do not know how to delete/stop them. I’ve searched high and low for a solution. My next step is to contact the Examiner, but I thought maybe you had a quick solution.

It sounds like you are describing a web notification. Not sure what you mean by "flash" notifications, though. Do you see them at the top right corner of the screen?

Go to Safari, Preferences. Click on Websites at the top. Then click on Notification on the left side. Look to see if this site is in the list. If so, select it and change it to Deny. Or, select it and hit the Remove button at the bottom.

You get these when you visit a site and it prompts you to allow notifications. That had to have happened, but perhaps you forgot or hit OK by mistake.

Gary, your solution worked perfectly. I don't use Safari and only Firefox. I had checked Firefox and failed to think that the notifications could be coming in through Safari. I never fail to learn something from your posts. Thanks.
