How Do I Use Keynote Live for Facebook Live?

I would like to use Keynote Live for Facebook live presentations from my desktop, preferably, or my iPhone or iPad. I’d like to be able to use the animation features of Keynote, if possible. Thank you!

Keynote Live and Facebook Live are two very different things. I'm not sure it is possible, or makes sense, to try to combine them.

Keynote Live lets you share your presentation with others over a live web browser feed. You present on your Mac, and others look at a web page and see your presentation unfolding live. Facebook Live is video streaming from your computer to others on Facebook. You can do a screen capture and stream into Facebook live, but I think you still need some sort of software like OBS to do that. Not a problem, and OBS will let you combine your camera and the screen too, so that could be nice.

I think you really need to pick one or the other. It wouldn't make sense to try to combine them. Either fo Keynote live and send people the URL so they can watch it using that. Or, stream your Mac's screen using OBS + Facebook Live and require them to watch it on Facebook.

I guess technically you could do both at the same time and give users a choice.

Thanks so much. I ask this because I have tried using OBS for Facebook Live and it seems complicated. I give it the link to my Facebook group, where I want to present, and in OBS it goes to the Facebook login screen, where I have no control for logging in. By chance do you have a video tutorial on this type of connection? Thanks again!

Carol: No, sorry, I don't have a tutorial on that,. Too specific of a thing and I don't do Facebook live presentations or anything, so I have no special experience there. Just keep playing around with it and doing searches for help and I'm sure you'll figure it out. Or, see if there is an alternative to OBS for doing it.
