How To Show “Search” In the Today View iPadOS?

I miss the Search field in the Today View. How to get it back?

    The Today View, really just a column of widgets not a "view" now, doesn't have a search option in iPadOS. You bring up Spotlight search on iPadOS with a short swipe down in the middle of the Home screen, with or without the Today View showing.
