Ipod Touch blacklight problem

LCD screen does not light up but Ipod is working perfectly.

What can be done and can it be fixed. Version 3.1.3

    I'd have someone take a look at it. A visit to the Genius Bar, perhaps? Otherwise, you can try restoring the iPod from scratch to see if the problem is in software. If that doesn't fix it, then there may be a hardware problem.
