On my Mac (Processor = 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) I have an Appleworks 6 document which OS X Lion 10.7.5 won’t open. I get an error message, “You can’t open the application AppleWorks 6.app because Power PC applications are no longer supported.”

Is there anything like the old scrapbook that works with OS 10.8? I have some ‘stuff’ that I use in a number of emails or net ads that I would love to be able to access as quickly as I could back in Scrapbook and desk accessory days?

I noticed in Mountain Lion when you use applications like Quicktime or Preview, anytime you open a new document it automatiCally opens the last document you were using.
This is kind of annoying and i can’t seem to find a way to turn that option off.

The bug in Parental Controls (rendering it currently unusable) is a dealbreaker for my family – I must be able to use Parental Controls in order to allow a computer in the house. Thus, until a fix comes out in 10.8.3, I need to revert back to 10.8.1. How do I do this?

We have shared our calendars between family members.
But somehow the alerts are not synched.
