I currently use a portable hard drive to backup my system, and want to try a cloud service, I have researched many online services, but there are so many to choose from.
Can you recommend one that will work with time machine?
p.s. Love your website and helpful hints

None of them.
Time Machine is made to work with a connected hard drive, or a drive connected to a local network (like Time Capsule). It isn't built to work with cloud services.
Maybe that will change at some point if Apple is moving into cloud services.
But for now I believe that all of the online backup services have their own software that facilitates the backup.Probably not like Time Machine where you can revert to one of many previous versions of your files, though. So it may be worth it for you to do both an online backup, and a time machine backup.
Dolly drive uses time machine and is a cloud service.
Interesting. Thanks for pointing that out. It is a shame they are so expensive, though, with no option for unlimited storage.
Any experience with Amazon Web Service to backup entire macbook pro to cloud. My 5 yr old Lacie hard drive failed, so i am leaning to get a cloud backup. Maybe something has changed since this post last yr?
I don't know about using Amazon to do this. I have tried "CrashPlan" and that seems to work great.
