There are many apps that do this. I use Air Sharing, but there are lots of others like it. If you have MobileMe, you can also use the free MobileMe iDisk app to access the file from your iDisk.

I use to use mobile me iDisk app to get my .doc files (ie. resume, lists, etc. ) to my iPhone. Now what can we do now that apple has gotten rid of MobileMe?

Try DropBox and the DropBox App. Very similar to iDisk and the old iDisk app. http://macmost.com/sharing-files-with-dropbox.html
