Costco-produced photo cds

Is there a way to get photos into my iMac from my collection of Costco-produced cds? I probably wouldnt have switched from PC if I’d realized my tons of photos wouldn’t be recognized by my beautiful new machine.

What happens when you insert the CDs into your Mac? Does it appear? Can it see the files? If so, can you run iPhoto and see te CD on the left? You should be able to select it and import the photos.
Or, if that is not working, you should be able to look at the CD contents in the finder, find the photos, and drag them into iPhoto.

I insert the Costco cd, a cd icon appears on the iMac desktop, I double click and a group of file designations appear; most are tagged.dll. None are a photo file. iPhoto wouldn't recognize the cd contents. (contents are jpeg files, btw)

I don't think I tried looking at the contents in finder. I'll try that. Here's hoping that will work. Thanks!

It did work. Among all the other files that showed up, including .exe files, I took a chance on one folder marked DCIM, then a followup folder marked 100norit, then there were all my jpegs! they imported into iPhoto just fine. Many, many thanks for your help.
