Apple advertises that iwork integrates well with Mathtype and Endnote. I am well aware of the capabilities of Mathtype and how useful it is to create nice looking equations. However, I am unsure of what exactly Endnote does. I was wondering if you were familiar with the software and if, as a college student, it was worth the money to purchase? An episode in the near future would be nice and interesting, but I understand if it does not happen.

No, sorry, I've never heard of Endnote. But why not just check out their Web site? I'd imagine they have a pretty good description of what it does there.
