i made the switch from pc to mac and now I don’t know how to copy a formule result from one file into another file. I have a lot of hour-regitration files of which I will put the sum into one file so I can see the result of all those files in one final file..

I don't believe you can reference cells from a completely separate file. You can, of course, reference different spreadsheets in the same file. That is how you should set it up. Just create multiple sheets in that one file and refer to cells across sheets.

If you don't need to have the summary file automatically updated, you can Copy the data in the individual files and Paste Values in the summary file.
