I updated MacBook and iPhone last night. I had a .me account and now cannot access that mail on my mac. It comes in on the iPhone. The message is that the password is wrong. Any ideas? Passwords have not been touched.

Did you do the iCloud migration? It should have prompted you to do it right after the Mac update yesterday. If so, you may have to tell your Mail application on your Mac to stop getting MobileMe mail, and start getting iCloud mail. It should have done that automatically, but if you have special settings in your Accounts it may not have,
Go into the preferences in Mail and check through that carefully. Remember that you don't have MobileMe mail anymore. You have iCloud mail now. So you might have to delete the MobileMe account you find there and re-add it as an iCloud account.
I looked through all the account info and the incoming mail server address doesn't match the one Apple has on their site. However, it is gray and I can't seem to find any way to change it.
I have: p99-imap.mail.me.com
Apple says it should be imap.mail.me.com
Where does it say that? Are you sure you are looking at a page that applies to iCloud, not an old page that applies to MobileMe?
Either way, since the root of the domain is the same, it probably doesn't make a difference on our end.
I am also getting the same error in my e-mail. When I enter my password for ICloud it reject's the password - yet the same username password works fine everywhere else!
It isn't a password issue. It is just server trouble. Nothing to do but wait. Lots of people experiencing it. It is common for email clients to state password problems when in fact it just can't reach the server.
I think the problem might me in the .me and the .mac account. I just went into my mail account and deleted the .me account and on the ICloud account, changed the .me to .mac (which is my apple id) and it seems to be working fine... haven't had an error yet... (fingers crossed) :-)
I found an iCloud mail troubleshooting page.

Just lost iCloud on the phone too--think it's overwhelmed. I'll wait til this afternoon, but I do need the email.
I just upgraded my main computer (iMac) to Lion OS 10.7.2, iPhone and iPad to iOS 5. However, instead of migrating my MobileMe account (I did not realize the possible mistake when I did), I used my iTunes id (the one used for Store purchases) to set up an iCloud account. Things seem to be working, but not the way I think they should.
In fact, I wish I were able to reverse the current set up, in order to migrate my Mobile account to iCloud (using my @me address for that), and keeping my iTunes id for Store purchases (just as before).
I do not know if the current situation can be reverted. If not, could I at least cancel my current iCloud account and then opening a new one, using my @me address? Moreover, after doing that, would it be possible to sync my iMac (where the apps, music, photos and other files are back up), transferring the important data to iCloud --> in other words, once it is possible, the idea is to set iCloud for sync and back up (using @me id) while preserving the iTunes Store id for purchasing (which could be transferred for the other devices -- iPhone and iPad).
Hope you are able to understand the situation described above. Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions that could be provided.
You're going to have to combine those two accounts. And the only way to do that is to have Apple do it for you. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar or call Apple. You need to have everything on ONE account.
^^For first post; I had the same problem is my iCloud new account was not my @me.com account. So I wanted to use my @me account for iCloud. Its pretty simple. Delete the iCloud account from your iPhone, then go to mail---> Add new account--> then set up using your mobile me address and password. This should eliminate any other iCloud services and keep the barrier between you app store account and iCloud account...if this is confusing, let me know
***then up new "iCloud" account using mobile me information
Still can't get the cloud on the iPhone even though it worked early this morning. I have deleted and reinstalled the account twice. I can get mail on my mac (I think through the cloud) but not from the iCloud website. Obviously no time to call Apple. Genius bar? What do you think?
Just wait. Lots of people having this same problem. So it must be a server issue on their end.
No mail for three days here with exactly this issue, an hour on the phone today to a senior service manager in Cork - v helpful but no ideas. Says my account is deprovisioned??!
