I received an HD camcorder for Christmas which is great and I want to edit what I record using iMovie. When I connect the camcorder to my iMac, it automatically opens iPhoto to import the files. But I can also import using iMovie.

A feature I used extensively in Snow Leopard (and some earlier OS X versions) is now missing from Mountain Lion. There used to be. Little slider in the bottom right hand corner that allowed you to adjust the size of file icons on the fly. Can I still access this function? Where ... (2 Comments)

In the other versions of the operating system I had no trouble in locating the files to back. Now I cannot seem to find the mail folder.

Apple Mail is missing an archive tool like Microsoft Outlook’s wherein the user chooses a date and all emails prior to that date are removed from Outlook and placed in a separate PST file. This greatly reduces the size of the current PST file and makes Outlook faster.
