Hi! This is Gary with MacMost Now. Here I am at the MacWorld Expo 2009, and it's been a long day. I've gone and taken a look at some of the new Apple products. For instance, I got a little view of some of the new stuff in iPhoto here. You can see that it has all these cool new slideshow features and also the facial recognition.
Also, I took a look at the new 17-inch MacBook Pro. It's got three USB ports here instead of just the two on the 15-inch MacBook. In addition, it's got the display board. It's got Firewire 800 on the side, and it's got the express card slot as well. The speakers are a little bit bigger than the 15-inch on either side. It's a pretty nice machine. Weight-wise it definitely is a lot heavier than the Air, the 15-inch, but it's still lighter than my old 17-inch G4 PowerBook that I used to have, of the same a form factor.
I've talked with a lot of interesting vendors here with some neat products, and I'll be showing those over the next few weeks on MacMost Now. This will be the last MacWorld that Apple's involved with. Next year they said they won't be involved, and there won't be any Apple Keynote.
So what remains in doubt is how big the MacWorld Expo will be after this year. The hall is booked for 2010. We'll see how big that show is, and, of course, MacMost will be there. So that's it for now. Until next time this is Gary Rosenzweig with MacMost Now.

You know why your podcast 183 is one of the best I have seen out of MacWorld 09? You show the crowds at MacWorld. You framed the shots so they really reflect the feel and vitality of this really fascinating trade show. The shots are framed with the light in the right place so the picture is vivid and interesting. Also, you reported on the salient items of interest right off. All under 2 minutes! Imagine longer podcasts. Fabulous!
Sorry if you had trouble posting it but I think the result is excellent.
Looking forward to more great podcasts from you.
Thanks so much. -one of your twitter followers (woodland potter) Hope you don’t mind.
